After a bit of a lay off for various reasons, FFi Riders are back into the full swing of training. Rod Farrell is back on the bike after a bit of an injury layoff and keen to re find his form that won him the Christmas Cup last year. Joe Szpytko is getting over a hard slog at the World Mountain Bike 24 Hours. Owen is recovering from his crash at Wagga that has left a bit of tissue damage to his hip and re aggravated an old injury and Mick Troy is nearly done at uni for the year, currently studying for exams.

You will currently see Mick and Owen doing some strong training in the mornings and evenings in an effort to find form for both the Berry Criterium held in Mick's home town on the South Coast on the 13th of November and following that the Tour of Bright in the Victorian high country in early December. Both are going to take very different training. With the Crit, there will be a huge load placed on their VO2 System, so appropriate training and race simulations are needed so Wednesday nights training session out past the Airport will see some big efforts by the boys. At the other end of the scale, the Tour of Bright will see a lot of climbing, so Mt Canobolas and the Pinnacle are going to be regularly visited by the boys in an effort to find some strength and climbing legs. There is no way to improve climbing like climbing!
