OCC 36km Scratch Race

28/02/2011 13:15
After some down time in regards to racing and training due to weather and other commitments, FFi Racing is back in the swing of things, with one of their riders, Mick Troy making it to the Orange Cycle Club's 36km scratch race on Saturday afternoon. With some small fields, it allowed for some aggressive racing with riders knowing that chasing bunches lacked some of their usual fire power.   In A/B there was Troy, Mason Manwaring, Dugald Parsons, Matt Dean, Brian Kennelly. The race had five bunches with limit giving nearly 15minutes to scratch. Team tactics came into play early in the morning in C...

23/01/2011 12:27
The week just gone saw some more good weather for cycling in the Central West. Wednesday night saw the OCC Summer Series of the Airport Dash continue, again with decent numbers present filling in all the bunches. The strong bunch this week was in the guise of the block bunch with Charlie Gascoyne, Andrew Foxall, Dave Van Schaik and Mick Cain. Behind them was Mick Troy and Rod Farrell guarding his wheel. Out of the start Mick struggled to make any decent dent in closing the 1.30 gap to block, struggling to find his legs and up against a formidable bunch to have to chase on his...
