Wednesday Night Dash

14/01/2011 08:45
Wednesday night saw another good turn out for the OCC Airport Dash. With bunches leaving on time, as the scratchies turned up, they were left on their own to sort out their handicap. Up the road in the block bunch was new comer Timmy Guy who in recent weeks has possibly clocked 150km weeks but also set the early bench mark for the FFi Racing Pinnacle Climb with a time of 6.25. With him was strong man Andrew Foxall. Further up the road was Mick Cain who left early in the hope of getting back early so as to get to the pub. Heading out of the dipper, the scratch bunch caught and passed...

Nutrition

With many having time off at the moment, we are finding more time to get out on the bike. With the extra kilometers many of being racked up fueling our bodies becomes the next battle. If you fuel well each day you will find that your fitness lifts and you...

Mick and Owen were seen regularly drifting on and off the back to give a few riders that little bit of a nudge to get up the rises on Cadia Road and Orchard Road and then when Matt Dean's tail light fell off, Owen, along with Mason and Rod went in...

Sunday and Monday Riding

04/01/2011 07:29
Sunday morning saw FFi Racing and Orange Cycle Club converge on Bathurst Cycle Club's local scratch racing. With Mason Manwaring sneaking into C grade, leaving Rodney Farrell, Mick Troy and Owen MacPhillamy in A grade to battle it out. Heading out the road to Ryans turn, Farrell found himself in a break and pulled some strong turns allowing Troy and MacPhillamy to sit in and save themselves for later in the race. Coming through Perthville, the race was all together, making a perfect opportunity for Owen to attack. With no response from the bunch, he quickly established a lead. Mick then...
